We aim to provoke interest in valuable contemporary Bulgarian art. Our goal is to support and present to the general public a young, interesting and promising author. The author of the idea is the young photographer Kaya Hristova.
In the center of the lens are ladies from the Bulgarian artistic firmament. The project will be presented in galleries and other spaces related to its content. The photo portraits will be presented in an exhibition hall, but with an interactive non-traditional element (integration of voice to vision and video, through a mobile application). With a presence in the virtual space and participation in international cultural events, we will work to popularize the valuable contemporary Bulgarian art abroad. It is our aim, through an innovative approach to presentation (including an interactive element to integrate sound to vision through a mobile application), that the works reach and provoke interest in the subject, in theater and in photography as an art, among audiences from different walks of life and different age groups.
Our focus is on a young audience that rarely enters exhibition halls and theaters. This audience often associates portrait photography with the concept of a selfie. We believe that artistic projects, presented in an intriguing way for the audience, contribute to broadening the horizons of such an audience, to its education as an art admirer. Target audiences: Youth 16-21, learners and students, with an interest in new technologies. Young people 18-30, independent, active with little interest in contemporary art. Admirers and connoisseurs of the visual arts, professionals and artists.
"Theatrical intermission" - Actresses without makeup and masks in front of the photo and video camera. In front of the lenses are natural women, the actresses off the stage.
The project was implemented with the support of the National Culture Fund and the assistance of Pandi Art Production.
The financing of the project is BGN 30,000, through which a photographer, PR team, director and team work on the project.
We have created a photographic portrait book, 27 panels with photographs of the faces that enter the exhibition - Women without makeup, advertising materials and a wide response in the media.

About the author in brief:
Kayya Hristova is a visual artist, graphic designer and photographer. He works as a freelancer.
She deals with advertising visions as a graphic designer for many people, as well as for Camellia Todorova herself, the New Bulgarian University, Sofia House (for certain events), Tsvetelina Rusalieva, Desislava Deneva - DEDE, Pagane Gallery, etc.
I am working as a photographer again with the wonderful playwright Maiya Pramatarova and the director Katya Petrova in their latest performance Anna. Augmented reality. Rehearsal with the participation of actress Linda Ruseva and set designer Tita Dimova - Vantek
He is part of the team of the web magazine - "Faces of the City".
Photographs faces for projects with Koyna Ruseva, Yoana Bukovska - Davidova, Krasimira Kuzmanova - Cochran, Stefka Yanorova, Lilia Maravilya, Linda Ruseva, Jeni Lecheva, Sevar Ivanov, Anna Maria Guzeleva, Madlen Cholakova, Borislav Valov,Konstantin Stanchev, Philip Bukov etc.
Of course "Sinelibri", "Bansko Jazz Fest", "Oborishte 5", "Nash dom",Theater 199, IKAR, 7arts.bg, Accademia Italiana della Cucina, Bulgarian Association of Journalists and Writers on Tourism - Abujet, etc.
His greatest passion is photographing architectural details from around the world. We can give an example of the exhibition - Kavala - An urban story", which tells how every single detail has a soul, speaks and comes to life in her photographs. The author photographs and travels a lot in Europe. Loves architecture and art. He loves to love and take pictures in Scandinavia and not anywhere, but in Denmark. One side shown of the happiest people in the world. A place where you consider your second home, even though he lives and develops in Bulgaria. Perhaps you will ask why exactly I am interested in the details and why I chose them in particular. She herself does not like literalisms recreated through the lens. The usual mysterious ornaments and details that hide in the narrow streets
and they are waiting for someone to photograph them and show them through their eyes. I think the most beautiful details I have photographed are in: France, Holland, Denmark, Italy, Greece, Belgium, Slovenia and Austria...
Sofia Contemporary Art Gallery (Hl. Arena di Serdica), where he presented the project - "Old Sofia. The city, the photographer, the jeweler and the visualizations", in which prominent Bulgarian jeweler Nevena Veleva participated. She was invited to the project. The jeweler himself made a replica of selected photographs of Kayya. Interestingly, a duo between photography and jewelry was created. This project is being done for the first time in Bulgaria by the two authors. At this wonderful exhibition, we had the pleasure of being curated by Dr. Raina Damiani and gallerist Tsvetelina Rusalieva. The exhibition was a great success in the media and in the cultural space.
"Jazz" - Kayya and Tasev - The doyen of the poster Prof. Dimitar Tasev and the young Kaya Hristova in a joint project. Mentor and student - in jazz! Posters on the theme of jazz will be presented on October 17 in the urban space "Gifted Sofia" at 24 Ivan Denkoglu Street.
The project is unusual not only with the idea of "painted" music, but also because it brings together a mentor and a student, two seemingly different generations, united by a common love. Prof. Dimitar Tasev, poster doyen in our country, and Kayya Hristova, young and tempted by experiments in graphic design, show their vision of harmony and humor in jazz.
The exhibition "Jazz Kayya and Tasev" can be seen until 31.10.2019. All 16 posters are related to music and the authors' favorite style. "Dimitar Tasev and I rediscovered each other, as a student and a professor, when he taught me "Poster" at New Bulgarian University as a course from the "Graphic Design" program many years ago. He is a great person and mentor for me," says Kayya Hristova. –
The exhibition was my proposal to Prof. Tasev. He responded to the idea and we started working on the project, which was quite interesting for both of us. In addition to this exhibition, which we present together, we are participating on November 5 in the Central Foyer of the NDK at the 9th International Triennial of the Stage Poster".
